Barcelona has officially announced on Tuesday the contract extension of young Spanish talent Lamine Yamal, which is now valid until June 2031. His previous deal was set to expire in 2026. At just 17 years old, Yamal, a product of Barça’s academy, is entering his third season as a professional player.

As part of the renewal, Lamine Yamal received a significant salary increase, placing him among the top earners on the team.

“He’s an exceptional player, far more mature than his age suggests. A player’s salary should reflect their importance to the squad, regardless of their age,” said Barcelona president Joan Laporta in recent days.

Lamine Yamal stood out alongside Brazilian Raphinha as one of Barcelona’s key players this season. The duo contributed with 18 goals and 21 assists in 55 matches. Barcelona secured victories in both La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

In the Champions League, the team reached the semifinals after two intense matches against Internazionale. Yamal delivered an impressive performance, but it wasn’t enough to see Barcelona advance to the final.

Speaking of the Champions League, the final is set to take place this Saturday at 4 PM (Brasília time), featuring a showdown between Internazionale (ITA) and PSG (FRA).
