Bayer Leverkusen is undergoing a significant transformation during this summer’s transfer window. A major reshuffle has taken place in a key managerial position. Xabi Alonso has departed Germany to become the head coach of Real Madrid.

Taking over the reins at BayArena is Erik ten Hag. Several intriguing players have also been brought into the team, including Malik Tillman and Jarell Quansah.

According to details revealed by “Sky,” Bayer Leverkusen fans can now breathe a sigh of relief. The club has received confirmation of an important decision—Victor Boniface is staying put.

Despite considerable interest from other clubs during the transfer period, the Nigerian forward has no intentions of leaving Bayer. This means Erik ten Hag will have the striker available for the upcoming challenges.

Victor Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 following a transfer from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, which cost the club more than €20 million. From almost his very first match, the Nigerian player became an integral figure for the team. However, Boniface has faced significant fitness issues in recent months, which have posed challenges to his consistency.

During the previous season, Victor Boniface participated in 27 matches for Bayer Leverkusen. Over that span, the Nigerian international managed to score an impressive 11 goals and provide two assists. The 24-year-old’s current contract with the club runs until June 30, 2028.
