Barcelona has already wrapped up the signing of Anthony Gordon, and that’s just the beginning. It seems that Bernardo Silva will soon be making his way to Camp Nou as well. This summer, the Blaugrana are also aiming to secure the services of Julian Alvarez, identified as the ideal successor to Robert Lewandowski.

The Argentine has been a top target for some time, and now there’s a tangible opportunity to bring him into their squad. After enduring another frustrating season, Alvarez appears ready to part ways with Atletico Madrid, a situation well-known to the club’s management.

Notably, Alvarez’s primary objective is to relocate to the Catalan capital. According to “DSports,” the parties have reportedly reached a full agreement on the terms of collaboration. Should the transfer materialise, Alvarez will commit to a five-year contract with Barcelona.

Currently, the main obstacle is Atletico Madrid, a club reluctant to lose its star player. However, the Spanish side is aware of the player’s desire to move and, while they won’t force him to stay, they do aim to secure the best financial outcome. The mentioned source suggests Atletico would be satisfied with a fee in the range of 125 million euros.

So far, Barcelona has submitted just one bid, reportedly worth 100 million euros. The saga surrounding this transfer is expected to continue, and other clubs, such as Arsenal and PSG, may join the race for Alvarez.
