Week 7 of the Thai League 1 2024/25 season will begin on Friday, September 20th with a number of teams looking to push ahead in the standings. Last season’s champions, Buriram United, are still at the top of the table but showed their first signs of slowing down with a 0-0 draw to Port FC last week. They will look to get back to winning ways when they play Prachuap on Sunday this week.
Bangkok United haven’t played their best football thus far through the season, sitting in 4th place with three wins, two draws and a loss. Their opponents this week will be Rayong, who are currently in 12th position in the standings. A win could get them back in a top 3 spot.

Khon Kaen United Vs Nakhon Pathom United (September 20th)
In the only match on Friday, Khon Kaen United will be taking on Nakhon Pathom United at the Khon Kaen Provincial Stadium. These are the two bottom teams of the league, Nakhon Pathom in 15th place with three points and Khon Kaen in 16th with a single point.
In their past six meetings, Nakhon Pathom has won 4 matches while Khon Kaen have taken the other two. The last match was earlier this year where Khon Kaen came out on top by the score of 2-1.
Based on the form of both teams this match could go either way. Nakhon Pathom however have a slight edge based on their performance in their losses thus far.
Nongbua Pitchaya Vs Uthai Thani (September 21)
In a mid-table clash, Nogbua Pitchaya will be facing off against Uthai Thani at the Pitchaya Stadium in Nong Bua Lam Phu. Uthai Thani is fresh off a win over Rayong in Week 6 which put them into 8th place in the leaderboard. Nogbua Pitchaya have been consistent, scoring three draws in a row for 10th place.
These two teams haven’t played much against each other in the past. In the three matches against each other, each team has won one match while the other ended in a scoreless draw.
The matches haven’t been very high scoring between these two teams and you can expect this trend to continue. A draw could very well be on the cards given the both teams defensive nature.
Buriram United Vs Prachuap (September 22)
Buriram United will be desperate to get back to their winning ways on Sunday when they face Prachuap at Chang Arena. They suffered their first blemish to the season last week in a scoreless draw against 2nd place Port FC. Prachuap has been on the move up the standings, with three wins in their last five games. They currently sit in 5th position with 10 points.
The head-to-head matchup between these two teams is very one-sided with Buriram dominating Prachuap in recent years. Their latest meeting however, ended up in a 2-2 tie which Prachuap can use for confidence heading into the match.
Still, Buriram should win this match quite easily as they look to defend their title once again.
Port FC Vs BG Pathum United (September 22)
Port FC have looked like the second strongest team in the competition from the very beginning of the season. They have only two draws in their 6 matches to go along with four wins, one against leaders Buriram United. BG Pathum have begun to reignite their season after a slow start, winning 2 of their last three and drawing the other.
While historically BG Pathum has been ahead in the head-to-head matchup, Port FC are clearly the better team at the moment. Their latest meeting did however go to BG Pathum 2-1, earlier this year in June. Expect Port FC to come out with a point to prove to take a quick lead and never look back.
