Bangkok United took the top spot in the Thai League 1 standings last week after defeating Port FC 2-0 at the Thammasat Stadium on Saturday. They are now on 27 points, 4 points ahead of second place Buriram United but have played 3 more games. Port FC stayed stuck on 22 points as Prachuap gained ground on them, moving to 19 points in 4th place with a victory over Muangthong United.
Matchday 13 of the competition brings a number of interesting matchups, including the return of Buriram United after a week off. They will take on Rayong on Sunday at the Rayong Provincial Stadium, as they look to gain ground on Bangkok United. Meanwhile Bangkok United will look to keep to their winning ways when they face Khon Kaen United who are currently second from last.

Prachuap Vs Ratchaburi F.C. (November 9)
Prachuap will have a tough matchup against Ratchaburi F.C. this Saturday at home, as they try to push even higher in the league standings. After a 2-0 win against Muangthong United, they are well poised in 4th place to make a run at the top 3 spots. Prachuap hasn’t lost in their last five matches, posting two wins and 3 draws in that time.
Ratchaburi sit in the middle of the table in 8th place with 4 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses. While they have shown the ability to hang with the best teams, Ratchaburi has been inconsistent this season, coming off a loss and a draw in their last two matches.

Rayong Vs Buriram United (November 10)
Last year’s champions Buriram United will come off a bye week to face Rayong, as they look to reclaim the top spot on the leaderboard. They are currently on 23 points but have only played 9 games compared to the 12 of Bangkok United. Still considered the favourites to win the season, Buriram will look to get back on track after a 1-1 draw against the Lamphun Warriors, two weeks ago.
Rayong have had a tough time of it as of late, losing 3 of their last 5 matches. They were however able to beat Chiangrai United 2-0 last week, which could help them get back on track.
Buriram will be heavy favourites to win this match and will likely be looking to dominate from the get-go. Rayong has never beaten Buriram while the latter has put up 5 goals against the former on multiple occasions. We predict a high scoring match, which Buriram should take rather easily by multiple goals.
Khon Kaen United Vs Bangkok United (November 10)
Bangkok United will attempt to keep a four point lead over second place in the table when they visit Khon Kaen United on Sunday. With only one win this entire season, Khon Kaen United will have a difficult task ahead of them as they try to hold back a red hot Bangkok United team.
The head-to-head between the teams favors Bangkok United, winning 5 of the last 6 meetings between them. It should be noted though that Khon Kaen United managed to come out with a 2-2 draw in their latest match in May of this year. Looking out of form in the past few weeks however, it’s unlikely that Khon Kaen United will be able to match their efforts.
Bangkok United should be able to come away with an easy win on the road and secure their spot at the top of the leaderboard for another week.
