Buriram United Vs Uthai Thani (October 17)
Buriram United are set to get back into Thai League 1 action with a big matchup against fourth place Uthai Thani at home on Thursday. After a weak start to the season, Uthai Thai have done well lately, winning four out of their past five matches to secure 15 points. Buriram United only have the one draw this season they had with Port FC to go with 6 wins.
Buriram United have dominated the head-to-head matchup between these two teams, winning all four of their last contests. Their last encounter was not too long ago, when Buriram United beat Uthai Thani 2-0 in early May of this year.
With the league’s top scorers Guilherme Bissoli and Supachai Chaided ready to take the field again, Buriram United are huge favourites going into Thursday. While Uthai Thani have been playing much better in the past few weeks, Buriram are still the team to beat and should come out on top.
Port FC Vs Nakhon Ratchasima (October 19)
Second place Port FC will look to keep pace with Buriram United when they face Nakhon Ratchasima on Saturday in an away game. Port FC had a brilliant start to the season but have cooled off as of late, only winning one of their last 5 matches. The win did however come last matchday when they beat Nakhon Pathom 2-0, which could get them back on track.
The last two games between these teams ended in 2-2 draws. Prior to that Port FC had the upper hand with three consecutive wins. Based on how the team’s have looked so far this season, Port FC definitely will look to come out with a win. Their high powered offense should be able to score multiple goals against Nakhon Ratchasima despite being on the road.
Bangkok United Vs Sukhothai (October 19)
Both Bangkok United and Sukhothai have been in good-form as of late which makes for an interesting matchup on Saturday. Bangkok United have been undefeated in their past five games while Sukhothai have posted wins in their last three Thai League 1 outings.
While Bangkok United are still clear favorites based on the teams’ history, Sukhothai should not be underestimated in this matchup. The latest match between the sides ended in a 0-0 draw earlier this year in February. You can expect a close game which could go either way.
Muangthong United Vs BG Pathum United (October 19)
In an important mid-table clash, Muangthong United will face BG Pathum United at the SCG Stadium in Pak Kret. BG Pathum are currently in 5th place with 14 points but have been trending upwards in the past 5 matches. Muangthong United have been consistent all season and have secured 12 points with 3 wins, 3 draws and a loss.
In the past 4 games between these two teams, BG Pathum have won 2 and Muangthong United 1, while the latest match ended in a scoreless draw. While BG Pathum will go in as favourites to win, Muangthong United have been terrific on defense which could result in a draw. Expect a close game which should come down to a single goal deficit if there is a winner.
