From Lithuania to a Ligue 1 breakthrough
After leaving Nigeria for the Buckswood Academy in England at 17, Moffi rebuilt his career in Lithuania, scoring 20 goals in 29 league games for Riteriai. A move to Belgian side Kortrijk followed before Lorient brought him to Ligue 1 in October 2020.
In Brittany he exploded, plundering 35 goals in 90 appearances across three seasons. That prolific form made him one of Ligue 1’s most coveted strikers and earned a big-money switch to OGC Nice in January 2023.
Nice heartache and a Porto reboot
At Nice, Moffi scored 24 goals in 61 games but endured a torrid run of luck, including a serious knee injury in 2024 and a bruising end to his time on the Riviera amid a fractured relationship with sections of the support.
In January 2026 he joined FC Porto on loan, reuniting with coach Francesco Farioli from his Nice days and helping the Dragons toward a Primeira Liga title. Like fellow forward Victor Boniface, he remains a key striking option for Nigeria when fit.

Super Eagles: An AFCON finalist and dependable option
Moffi made his Nigeria debut against Cameroon in June 2021 and announced himself with a brace in a record 10-0 win over São Tomé and Príncipe. He was a late but important call-up for AFCON 2023, drafted in to replace the injured Boniface.
He featured off the bench during the Super Eagles’ run to the 2023 final, where Nigeria fell to hosts Côte d’Ivoire. Injuries and club upheaval have since limited his international minutes, and he shares the wider squad’s pain at missing back-to-back World Cups.
