Tottenham Hotspur is deep into preparations for the new season. In their most recent friendly, the London club clinched a 2-0 victory over Reading. Meanwhile, intriguing updates about the future of Heung-min Son have been revealed by the online edition of “The Athletic”.
According to the source, discussions are already underway regarding the potential transfer of the 33-year-old winger. Los Angeles FC has reportedly expressed interest in signing the South Korean international. A successful deal could see Son reunited with his former teammate, Hugo Lloris. However, no agreement has been finalised yet, though negotiations are ongoing.
Son’s current contract with Tottenham runs until the end of June 2026. While the club holds no immediate plans to prevent his departure, they are open to letting him go if a favourable financial offer is presented. For the London side, this could also represent an opportunity to profit before his contract expires.
Last season, Son made a total of 46 appearances, during which he scored 11 goals and provided 12 assists. His market value is estimated at around 20 million euros. Should the transfer materialise, the South Korean forward would compete for a spot in the lineup alongside players such as Ryan Raposo and Denis Bouanga. Since January 2022, Los Angeles FC has been managed by head coach Steve Cherundolo.
