Real Madrid cemented its legacy during the 2026 World Cup by breaking the record for the most goals scored by a single club’s players in one tournament edition. Thanks to Jude Bellingham’s brace in England’s 2-1 semifinal victory over Norway, the Spanish club reached an unprecedented total of 19 goals.

This achievement surpassed the previous record of 18 goals, which was jointly held by four historic squads. Paris Saint-Germain hit that mark in 2022, driven by Kylian Mbappé’s 8 goals and Lionel Messi’s 7 goals.

Bayern Munich achieved it in 2014, led by Thomas Müller with 5 goals. Stade de Reims reached 18 in 1958, powered by Just Fontaine’s legendary 13-goal performance, while Hungary’s Honvéd first set the benchmark in 1954 behind Sándor Kocsis’s 11 goals.

Real Madrid’s record-breaking 19-goal tally was distributed among four star players. Kylian Mbappé led the charge with 8 goals for France, followed closely by England’s Jude Bellingham with 6 goals.  Vinícius Júnior added 4 goals for Brazil before their Round of 16 elimination, and Arda Güler contributed 1 goal for Turkey.

With France and England both advancing, club teammates Mbappé, who currently leads the Golden Boot race, and Bellingham remain in contention for the World Cup title. Because both stars are set to play in the final match, Real Madrid has a unique opportunity to extend its newfound historic record even further on football’s grandest stage.
