Victor Osimhen has established himself as one of the top strikers in the world over the past few seasons. The Nigerian international has been delivering standout performances for Galatasaray Istanbul, catching the attention of Europe’s elite football clubs.
There’s a strong possibility that the 186-centimeter-tall forward could make his way back to one of Europe’s biggest leagues during the upcoming summer transfer window. Interest in the 27-year-old striker is high, with several top-tier clubs seriously considering making a move for him.
In recent months, Osimhen has been linked with clubs such as Juventus, Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain. According to “FootMercato.net,” Bayern Munich has now joined the race to secure the Nigerian’s signature.
The Bavarian club is keen to have a backup plan in case Harry Kane decides to move on, although indications suggest that the English superstar may soon extend his contract with the German champions. In theory, Osimhen could form a striking partnership with Kane in Bayern’s attack, although such a scenario seems rather unlikely.
The Nigerian forward, who has been playing in Turkey for nearly two years, has made 25 appearances this season, scoring 17 goals and providing 6 assists. Galatasaray initially spent around 75 million euros to bring him in, and the investment has undoubtedly paid off so far.
The tall striker’s football resume includes playing for clubs like SSC Napoli, VfL Wolfsburg, LOSC Lille, and Royal Charleroi SC. His most significant achievement so far remains winning the Serie A title during the 2022/2023 season.
