Nathan Ake may face an uncertain future at Manchester City. With his contract set to last only until June 30, 2027, the Citizens’ management could be open to hearing offers for the 30-year-old defender to avoid losing him for free down the line.

As reported by “TEAMtalk,” the Dutch international could remain in the Premier League, where several teams are reportedly interested in securing his services. After spending multiple seasons at Manchester City, where he has been a reliable but not always a central figure in the lineup, Ake might be considering a change of scenery to gain more regular playing time.

The same source indicates that Nathan Ake has caught the attention of Crystal Palace. The London-based club sees him as an ideal replacement for Marc Guehi, who has expressed his intent to leave the Eagles in one of the upcoming transfer windows.

As a 56-time capped Dutch international, Ake would make a significant improvement to Palace’s defensive line. One of his standout attributes is his versatility; he is capable of playing both as a center-back and as a left-back. This flexibility would provide The Eagles’ head coach, Oliver Glasner, with enhanced tactical options.

Nathan Ake has been part of the Manchester City squad since August 2020, following his transfer from AFC Bournemouth for over 45 million euros. A product of ADO Den Haag’s youth academy, Ake has made 153 appearances, scored 10 goals, and recorded 3 assists for the Citizens. Over the course of his career, he has also represented Chelsea and Watford.

According to the website “Transfermarkt,” the current market value of the seasoned defender is estimated at 22 million euros.
