José Mourinho triumphed over Feyenoord once again. The Portuguese coach shared words of praise for the Rotterdam team during the post-match press conference.
Even after the clash in Rotterdam, Mourinho had issued a warning to the club’s fans. “I always win the second leg,” the Portuguese coach remarked back then. And so it happened. “It’s just a coincidence,” he continued.
“I never win in Rotterdam, except that time with Barcelona, when we claimed the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain.” During that occasion, The Special One was serving as an assistant coach for the Catalans.
Despite Mourinho’s consistent victories against the Rotterdam side, he holds the team in high regard. “Feyenoord always has a strong team, skilled coaches, effective tactics, solid organization, and a coherent philosophy. They know exactly what to do on the pitch,” the successful manager stated, filled with admiration.
Feyenoord’s scouting efforts also received additional accolades from The Special One. “They bring in players nobody has heard of, but over time, you realize just how exceptional they are.” Mourinho was particularly impressed by the Rotterdam club’s Asian trio: Ayase Ueda, In-Beom Hwang, and Tsuyoshi Watanabe. “Their quality is truly outstanding.”
