Manchester City, following a lacklustre season, is planning significant changes during the upcoming summer transfer window. Recently, media reports have surfaced suggesting that the Citizens are interested in acquiring Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

Pep Guardiola is reportedly a fan of the idea of bringing the central midfielder to Manchester. The Spanish manager envisions a crucial role in the squad for the 22-year-old, which could be enticing considering that Los Blancos do not view him as a key starter.

According to Football Insider, Camavinga himself is open to the move. The main reason behind this decision is his concerns over his place in the Real Madrid lineup. Former chief scout for several clubs, including Manchester United, Mick Brown revealed to a British portal that the midfielder is frustrated with his playing time at Santiago Bernabeu.

However, securing Camavinga won’t be straightforward for the reigning English champions. Manchester City will need to put together a compelling offer to convince Real Madrid to part ways with the talented player. It is rumoured that the Spanish club values him at £70 million.

Camavinga joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2021 from Rennes for approximately €30 million. Since then, he has made 173 appearances for the club, scoring 3 goals and providing 9 assists. His contract with Real Madrid runs until June 2029.
