Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong are the new stars added to the squad at Anfield Road. Liverpool, following a successful season, has shown no intention of slowing down and has significantly strengthened its roster. The Reds invested over 300 million euros to secure this quartet. At the same time, the club is unwilling to maintain an overly large squad and has continued parting ways with certain players.
So far, the list of departures from the Premier League champions includes Luis Diaz, Jarell Quansah, Caoimhín Kelleher, Tyler Morton, and Nat Phillips. To this group, it seems almost certain that Darwin Nunez will be added. The Uruguayan international has struggled to retain a pivotal role for the Reds in recent times, and the arrival of Hugo Ekitike has further reduced his standing within the team.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool has reached an agreement with Al-Hilal and has accepted an offer from the Saudi Pro League runners-up. Darwin Nunez has drawn significant admiration from Simone Inzaghi, the coach of the Riyadh-based side. However, the Club World Cup quarterfinalists now need to finalise personal terms with the 26-year-old forward, who currently earns just over eight million euros annually.
Three years ago, Liverpool spent 85 million euros to secure Nunez, and with three years remaining on his current deal, the club is hoping to recoup a substantial portion of that amount. Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez likely has high expectations that his new employer will present him with an improved salary package.
