After joining Chelsea from Standard Liège in 2012, Omeruo was immediately loaned to ADO Den Haag, impressing enough in the Eredivisie to earn a Nigeria call-up. Loans to Middlesbrough, Kasımpaşa, Alanyaspor and Leganés followed as he gained experience across Europe.
