Charlton grounding and Rangers success

After starting in non-league with Staines Town, Aribo joined Charlton Athletic, where he made nearly 100 appearances and showed the flair that earned a free transfer to Rangers in 2019. In Glasgow he became a key creative force.

He won the 2020-21 Scottish Premiership and the 2022 Scottish Cup, and played in the 2022 Europa League final, which Rangers lost on penalties to Eintracht Frankfurt. His displays made him a Premier League target.

Southampton, Leicester and a new chapter

Aribo joined Southampton in 2022 and made over 100 appearances, experiencing both promotion to and relegation from the Premier League. Alongside compatriot Bright Osayi-Samuel, he ranked among Nigeria’s most influential passers at the Africa Cup of Nations.

A 2026 loan at Leicester City preceded the expiry of his Southampton contract, leaving him a free agent weighing his next move at 29 while remaining part of the Super Eagles conversation.
