N’Golo Kante, currently tied to a contract with Al-Ittihad until June 30, 2026, is set for a change of scenery well before its expiration. Reports already confirm that the partnership will not extend, and the experienced midfielder will depart during the winter transfer window.

According to Florian Plettenberg of “Sky Sports,” the Frenchman has chosen to move to Turkey. His new destination will be Fenerbahce Istanbul, a club that has been actively seeking midfield reinforcements and a standout leader to strengthen their team for some time.

A full agreement between both clubs has already been finalized. The transfer fee is expected to amount to approximately 4 million euros. Following the successful completion of medical tests, Kante will sign a contract with the Turkish team, valid until June 30, 2028.

The 34-year-old midfielder aims to bolster the Yellow Canaries in their quest for the Turkish league title. Presently, Fenerbahce stands with 43 points, trailing league leaders Galatasaray by six points. The Istanbul powerhouse hopes the Frenchman will bring both quality and valuable experience to their squad.

N’Golo Kante boasts a remarkably accomplished career. With Leicester City, he famously won the Premier League title during the 2015/2016 season. He later achieved UEFA Champions League glory and multiple domestic trophies with Chelsea.

Additionally, Kante played a pivotal role for the French national team, contributing to their 2018 World Cup triumph in Russia. Now, a new challenge awaits him in Istanbul, where he is expected to become one of the key pillars of a team striving for the highest objectives.
