Ajax aims to extend the contracts of five promising talents. De Telegraaf reports that the Amsterdam club is negotiating new deals or initial contracts with five players. According to the newspaper, Sean Steur is the closest to finalising an agreement.

Seventeen-year-old Steur is currently contracted until mid-2027, but Ajax wants to add another year to his deal. “Ajax and Steur have reached a principal agreement,” the paper states. The midfielder has already made his debut for the Amsterdam first team.

“Securing the first contracts for Abdellah Ouazane (16) and Jeshurun Simeon (15) is now a priority,” continues De Telegraaf. Ouazane is attracting considerable interest from England, though top clubs there can’t officially sign him for another two years. “Sources close to the player and Ajax indicate that talks regarding a contract until mid-2028 are progressing well.” The same applies to Simeon, who is currently part of Ajax Under-17.

Negotiations with Jetten and Mokio

Furthermore, the club has begun negotiations with Lucas Jetten. These discussions are in the early stages. The left-back has a current deal until mid-2026, but according to the newspaper, his future prospects will play a crucial role in securing an extension.

Ajax also aims to retain the highly talented Jorthy Mokio.

The 17-year-old midfielder currently has a contract lasting until mid-2027, but the Amsterdam club is keen to upgrade and extend this contract to mid-2028. Reportedly, both parties will be meeting soon to discuss this. “The intention is for him to become a key player in the first team next season,” it was noted.
