Sunday’s clash with FSV Mainz turned into a double setback for the German champions. Bayern Munich managed only a draw against the team from Mainz, marking their second dropped points this Bundesliga season. To make matters worse, the game ended with an injury to Manuel Neuer.

The goalkeeper for Die Roten will miss the next fixture, a match against Heidenheim scheduled for December 21. Muscle injuries, particularly severe ones like this, often make recovery timelines uncertain.
However, there’s no sense of alarm at the Allianz Arena. According to Bild, Neuer is expected to be fit and ready to return following the winter break. Bayern’s first game after the break will be on January 11, as they face Wolfsburg in matchweek 16.
