Italian giants, Juventus and Spanish powerhouse Atletico Madrid are deep in discussions regarding a potential transfer arrangement that could shake things up for both clubs. According to Matteo Moretto, speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s “in Italiano” YouTube channel, one of the focal points of these talks revolves around the potential move of Alexander Sorloth.

Sources indicate that Juventus has already reached a preliminary agreement with the Norwegian striker on personal terms. This significant development suggests that Juventus is making serious efforts to secure the services of the seasoned goal-scorer, who has consistently proven his effectiveness at the top tier of European football in recent seasons.

However, there is still a long way to go before the deal reaches completion. The primary hurdle remaining is for the two clubs to finalise an agreement. Atletico Madrid is not eager to part ways with the striker, especially after his strong performance in the 2025/26 season, where he scored 13 goals across 35 appearances.

Interestingly, these negotiations extend beyond Sorloth. As revealed by the well-known insider on Fabrizio Romano’s “in Italiano” YouTube channel, discussions are also addressing the status of Nicolas Gonzalez. The Argentine, while officially under contract with Juventus, has been playing for another team since September of last year, with his situation now drawing attention.

In the recently concluded season, Nicolas Gonzalez participated in 24 La Liga matches, scoring on five occasions. The Spanish club is pleased with his performance, making the continuation of their collaboration an essential point in the ongoing negotiations.
