Chelsea is gearing up for significant reinforcements during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Blues have had a disappointing campaign and are determined to perform much better next season.

One area the London club aims to strengthen is the central defense. The Chelsea management is looking for a player who can bring more stability to their backline while fitting into the long-term project being developed at Stamford Bridge.

According to a report from “Calciomercato,” Chelsea might turn their attention to Serie A for new additions. Strahinja Pavlović, one of the standout defenders in the Italian league, has emerged as a potential target. The 24-year-old center-back from Milan has impressed with his excellent performances, catching the attention of world football’s elite clubs.

Manchester United is also keeping an eye on the Serbian defender’s situation, which means Chelsea might face stiff competition. However, Milan is unwilling to part ways with their player easily and has valued him at approximately 50 million euros.

The Serbian international, who has already earned 54 caps for his country, has been part of the Rossoneri squad since July 2024. He moved to San Siro from Red Bull Salzburg for just under 20 million euros.

In the current season, he has participated in 36 matches, scored five goals, and provided one assist, demonstrating his ability to contribute not only in defense but also in offensive situations near the opponent’s goal. The central defender’s contract with Milan remains valid until June 30, 2028.
