Bernardo Silva is set to take his leave from Etihad Stadium after spending nine years with Manchester City. His current contract, due to expire at the end of the season, will not be renewed, news that has already been confirmed by both the player and the club.

Before he departs, however, Silva remains focused on securing key objectives with City, as they chase both the Premier League title and the FA Cup. Regardless of these outcomes, the summer will bring significant changes, and the demand for Silva’s services has skyrocketed.

Media reports tie him to major European clubs as well as teams in Saudi Arabia and the United States. While the Portuguese midfielder has not finalised his decision, he is currently engaged in substantial negotiations.

At present, the frontrunner in the race to sign Silva appears to be Juventus. The Italian side has already established contact with the player’s agent. Aiming to outpace competitors who may present better financial offers, Juventus is actively discussing terms. In return, Silva has shown a willingness to consider moving to Serie A as part of an ambitious project proposed by the club.

However, Juventus is not Silva’s ultimate dream destination. That honour belongs to Barcelona, which is also monitoring the player. Nevertheless, the Catalan club has yet to initiate any formal steps toward securing a transfer. In the past, Silva had hoped for such a move to materialise but remained loyal to Manchester City instead.

For Silva, Barcelona stands out as the most appealing option, offering the perfect balance between professional and personal aspirations. Still, the midfielder is not willing to wait indefinitely. If the Spanish club does not make a definitive move, he is prepared to pursue another offer on the table.
