Vinicius Junior is set to have the highest salary among players competing in the Spanish Championship, known as LaLiga, starting next season. According to details shared by the French outlet “L’Équipe,” the Brazilian star will earn approximately 18 million euros net annually, equating to around R$ 107.8 million.

This Thursday’s edition of the French newspaper also highlighted the top earners in France’s Ligue 1 for the 2025/26 season, predominantly featuring players from PSG. In total, 14 players from the reigning Champions League winners rank as the highest-paid in the league.

Currently, Vinicius Junior earns a fixed gross salary of about 2.67 million euros per month from Real Madrid, which is approximately R$ 16 million. This matches the salary received by Kylian Mbappé, who also represents the Spanish club. The publication further confirms that both players hold the top salaries in LaLiga.

“L’Équipe” additionally notes that Vinicius Junior’s contract includes a provision for a 2-million-euro net increase in his salary each season. As a result, starting from the 2026/27 season, his annual income will reach 18 million euros net. This adjustment would solidify his position as the highest earner in the league.

However, “L’Équipe” clarifies that Vinicius Junior would hold this title based solely on his fixed salary. When including contract-related elements such as bonuses and performance rewards, Mbappé remains the highest-paid player at Real Madrid. Spanish media estimate that the French forward earns roughly 100 million euros spread across a five-year contract.
