Bayern Munich is performing exceptionally well this season. The Bundesliga powerhouse is steadily advancing towards securing the German championship.

Meanwhile, the club’s management has already drafted a new contract proposal for Dayot Upamecano. Intriguing details on the matter have been shared by “Bild”.

As per the report, the player has been offered a deal involving an annual salary of 20 million euros, along with a signing bonus of the same amount. In addition, the proposed contract reportedly includes a release clause slated to become active in 2027. The defender has been given until Sunday, February 1, 2026, to make his decision regarding this offer.

Upamecano joined the Munich team in the summer of 2021 from RB Leipzig. So far in the current season, he has participated in 25 matches across various competitions. The player’s market value is currently estimated at 70 million euros.

Bayern remains the frontrunner in the German league standings, boasting 50 points. They have an eight-point lead over the second-place Borussia Dortmund.

The Bavarian squad is set to play their next match this coming Saturday, facing Hamburger SV away from home. In this game, Bayern aims to return to winning form following last week’s 1-2 defeat to FC Augsburg. The team from Munich continues their unbeaten streak away from home in the Bundesliga this season.
