The decision to bring in Afimico Pululu has proven to be a masterstroke for Jagiellonia. The Democratic Republic of Congo international has shown exceptional form during his time in Białystok. His remarkable performance was highlighted by clinching the Golden Boot in the UEFA Europa Conference League during last season’s campaign.

This year, Pululu continues to deliver, finding the back of the net in both the domestic league and European competitions. His record across all tournaments currently stands at 22 appearances, 10 goals, and two assists. Since joining Jagiellonia, he has made 109 appearances, scoring 45 goals and providing 11 assists. For quite some time, other clubs have tried to lure him away, but no one has managed to pry him from Białystok yet.

The situation, however, is poised for a significant turn. Pululu’s contract is set to expire next summer, which allows him to negotiate with other clubs during the winter transfer window. In fact, he could even sign a pre-contract agreement that takes effect in the summer. Although Jagiellonia is making efforts to extend his deal, securing his commitment will not be an easy task.

Adding to the challenge, interest in the player is growing rapidly. As recently reported by goal.pl, another prominent contender has entered the race. The latest suitor is African powerhouse Al Ahly, a club renowned for its dominance, not just in Egypt but across the entire continent.

Al Ahly boasts an impressive history with 45 Egyptian Premier League titles. Furthermore, they have claimed victory in the Egyptian Cup 39 times and hold a record 12 CAF Champions League trophies.

According to sources in Egypt, Al Ahly is considering making a move for Pululu during the winter transfer period. If unsuccessful, their pursuit could intensify next summer.
