Achraf Hakimi, a key figure for Paris Saint-Germain, was unable to finish Tuesday’s match against Bayern Munich after sustaining an injury in a challenge by Luis Diaz. Following the game, Bayern’s coach shared his thoughts on the unfortunate incident.

– I hope Hakimi recovers quickly and that this isn’t anything serious. It was never our intent for something like this to happen. We experienced something similar with Jamal Musiala in the United States. Moments like these are tough. We’re hoping Hakimi makes a swift return to health – said Vincent Kompany, as quoted by Bayern’s official website.

Meanwhile, some intriguing updates were provided by the digital version of “L’Equipe,” forecasting how long Hakimi may be sidelined. Current estimates suggest a break of three to even five months. Such a timeline would mean the player could not only miss crucial matches for PSG but also the Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off on December 21.

Further details regarding the player’s condition will become clear once Hakimi undergoes detailed medical tests. An official club announcement is expected to follow these examinations.

The right-back is under contract with the Parisian side until the end of June 2029. His market value is estimated at approximately 80 million euros. The 88-time Moroccan international joined PSG in July 2021.
