Juventus was in discussions with Paris Saint-Germain regarding the transfer of Randal Kolo Muani. According to “L’Equipe,” both parties had initially reached an agreement for a loan move with a purchase obligation.

The French striker, previously with Nantes and Eintracht Frankfurt, had already agreed to contract terms and spoken with coach Igor Tudor about his role for the upcoming season. However, the deal fell apart at the final stage.

Paris Saint-Germain now claims that Damien Comolli altered the terms during negotiations. The Italian club allegedly proposed a loan deal with an obligation to buy for 30 million euros, along with 10 million euros in bonuses contingent on Champions League qualification. Meanwhile, PSG had expected a total package worth 60 million euros.

In recent weeks, Randal Kolo Muani had been training with PSG’s reserve team. The striker was hopeful for a move to Turin and consistent playing time in Serie A. However, when Juventus opted to sign Lois Openda from Leipzig, the French forward lost his chance of joining the Bianconeri.

According to “L’Equipe,” Sunday marked a crucial turning point. While Juventus was closing a deal for Openda, Kolo Muani’s transfer negotiations fell through. The following day, PSG made last-minute attempts to find him a new club in the Premier League.

Ultimately, the striker ended up joining Tottenham. The London-based club secured him on loan without a purchase option, a scenario that was far from ideal for PSG.

However, time constraints left the Parisians with no choice but to agree to a deal that enabled the player to swiftly transition to a new environment.
