Ademola Lookman is determined to make a move during this summer’s transfer window, aiming to take a significant step forward in his football career.

The winger from Atalanta Bergamo was reportedly close to joining Inter Milan, but the deal ultimately fell apart. Both clubs failed to reach an agreement on the transfer fee, leading to the breakdown of negotiations. Having enjoyed an impressive season with the Lombardy-based team, the Nigerian player remains eager to embrace a new challenge.

According to Italian media, Ademola Lookman is still pursuing an exit from Atalanta Bergamo, with his agent actively exploring fresh opportunities.

A potential return to the Premier League is becoming an increasingly realistic possibility, as the player has significant experience in the English top flight. Graeme Bailey from the British outlet “TBR Football” has revealed that representatives of the player have reached out to several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, and Aston Villa, proposing the services of the 27-year-old. However, concrete discussions are yet to take place.

The Nigerian international, capped 29 times for his country, has made 96 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists. During his stint in England, he played for Fulham, Leicester City, Everton, and Charlton Athletic, where he began his senior career.

Nonetheless, his most notable achievements have come with Atalanta Bergamo, where he lifted the Europa League trophy during the 2023/2024 season.

The star of the final match, he claimed the spotlight by netting a hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen (3:0). Now, the Nigerian player hopes that his outstanding performances on Italian fields will lead to a transfer to one of Europe’s top football powerhouses.
