Goncalo Ramos of Paris Saint-Germain celebrates scoring his team's fourth goal during FIFA Club World Cup 2025 semi-final match

Paris Saint-Germain, despite only having a few training sessions ahead of the UEFA Super Cup clash, managed to secure the esteemed trophy. The reigning UEFA Champions League winners clinched the victory during the final moments of the match thanks to a stellar performance in the closing stages. After the game, one of the team’s standout players from Ligue 1 shared his perspective.

“I’m delighted; today is a significant day. We’ve won a trophy that holds great importance for us, as we never know if we’ll get another opportunity to compete for it. Will I stay at PSG? Yes. My attitude hasn’t changed: I’m ready to step onto the pitch whenever the team needs me. If I get the ball, my goal is to find the back of the net,” stated Goncalo Ramos, as quoted by RMC Sport.

The Portuguese striker joined Parc des Princes in January 2024 from Benfica. PSG secured his services for €65 million. His current contract with the club extends until the end of June 2028.

During the recent FIFA Club World Cup, Ramos appeared in five matches, amassing a total of 181 minutes on the pitch. In the UEFA Super Cup encounter, he played just 13 minutes but made a significant impact by scoring during injury time.

So far, representing PSG, Goncalo Ramos has featured in 87 matches, netting 34 goals and providing eight assists.
