Barcelona has already added Joan Garcia to their roster this summer and has been vigorously working to secure deals for Nico Williams and Roony Bardghji in recent days.

These moves indicate a clear focus on the club’s future, though Garcia and Williams are expected to have an immediate impact in the upcoming season. According to revelations from “Marca,” Barcelona is now deep in discussions for yet another acquisition.

The current target for the reigning Spanish champions is Ze Lucas, a 17-year-old midfielder from Sport Recife. Considered one of the brightest talents in Brazil, this move aligns with Barcelona’s strategy of scouting and signing promising talent from South America. While this approach has primarily been Real Madrid’s forte in recent years, Barcelona has followed suit on several occasions.

Negotiations between Ze Lucas’s camp and Barcelona have been ongoing for weeks and have recently entered an advanced stage. It appears that the deal’s completion is only a matter of time. As of now, it remains unclear how much the Catalan club will need to spend to secure the young Brazilian’s signature.

Ze Lucas is a defensive midfielder widely recognised as one of the most gifted players in his age group. He currently captains Brazil’s under-17 national team and has made 17 senior appearances for Sport Recife.

His current contract runs until 2028, with “Transfermarkt” valuing him at three million euros. However, the cost of his move to Barcelona is likely to be significantly higher.
