Erik ten Hag, who has previously worked with De Jong during their time together at Ajax Amsterdam, has been eager to sign him. FC Barcelona is reportedly willing to accept an offer in the range of €35-40 million. Other clubs informed of his transfer availability include Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
De Jong’s current contract with Barcelona is set to expire in June 2026. While negotiations for an extension are ongoing, the Dutch player has yet to accept Barca’s offer. So far, he has made 242 appearances for the Blaugrana, scoring 19 goals.
